Recently, Vietnam Vetiver Network (VNVN) has cooperated with the Da Nang Department of Natural Resources and Environment to hold a workshop about “Protecting water resources in Cu De river basin and promoting initiatives to reduce water pollution based on the community” in Hoa Bac, Hoa Vang, Da Nang.
At the workshop, representatives of VNVN shared about the role and effects of the Vetiver grass system on the soil, water and air environment. Especially Vetiver’s role in preventing erosion, making handicrafts to serve commercial activities and promoting sustainable development.
Through the event, VNVN has gained the local community’s attention, allowing them to promote the Vetiver solution in the coming time. After the event, VNVN will continue to support the local community in Hoa Bac by providing training courses, technical support and practical solutions to help manage the risk of erosion and landslides.
