This two volume report was submitted by Dr. P.K. Yoon of Malaysia in 1991 and 1993 to the World Bank for the Vetiver Awards. This report was subsequently published and released by the World Bank. I believe this report is the most comprehensive document todate (1995) on vetiver R&D and it has laid a solid foundation for all subsequent R&D works on vetiver. Without this foundation, I do not think the development of the Vetiver System would be at the level that it is today and all vetiver users are greatly indebted to Dr. Yoon for his great contribution. Personally I wish to thank Dr. Yoon for his cooperation and encouragement to transform this report into digital format and Dick Grimshaw for his support to make this CD ROM a reality. Paul Truong
